Prayer times depend on two choices that differ by country and by school, and the app cannot guess them for you. Open Profile → Prayer settings and check both:

• Calculation method — the angles your local authority uses for Fajr and Isha. Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, Muslim World League across much of Europe, ISNA in North America, Egyptian, Karachi, UOIF in France, and others. Matching your local masjid's method is what makes the times match your local masjid.
• Madhab — this only moves Asr. The Hanafi position puts Asr roughly an hour later than the majority position. If every time is right except Asr, this is the setting.

Notifications are scheduled on your phone, so three things have to be true:

• Permission. iOS Settings → Notifications → Iman AI — Allow Notifications on, with Sounds enabled.
• The prayer is switched on. In the app, each prayer has its own toggle and its own choice of adhan. A prayer that is off stays silent.
• Focus and silent mode. A Focus mode or the ring switch can hold the sound back. Allow Iman AI in the Focus you use at night if you want Fajr to wake you.

Reopen the app once after changing prayer settings or travelling to a new city. Notifications are scheduled ahead of time, and opening the app is what rebuilds the schedule.

The compass reads your phone's magnetometer, which loses calibration near metal, magnets and MagSafe cases. Hold the phone flat and move it in a figure-8 a few times — this is the standard iOS recalibration and it takes about three seconds. Then step away from laptops, speakers and car dashboards and read it again.

Iman AI asks for location once, uses it on the device to compute your prayer times and Qibla bearing, and never sends it anywhere. If you declined the prompt, turn it back on in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Iman AI → While Using the App.

You can also skip location entirely: tap the city name on the home screen and set your city by hand. The app will keep using it until you change it.

Almost all of it. Prayer times, the Qibla, the calendar, the dhikr counter, the 365 verses, the 28 duas, the 25 prophet stories and the 60 sourced answers are all computed or stored on your phone and need no connection at all.

Three things need the internet: the AI chat, recitation audio, and the masjid locator.

Everything to do with praying on time is free and has no trial attached: prayer times, adhan notifications, the Qibla, the monthly calendar, Islamic holidays, the masjid locator, the dhikr counter, saved verses, sharing, and the whole offline library.

Iman Pro unlocks four things: the AI chat, recitation audio with a choice of qari, the six light-of-day palettes, and adding your own dhikr to the counter. It is $29.99 a year after a 7-day free trial, or $4.99 a week with no trial. Full terms are in the Terms of Use.

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open Profile → Restore purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. Your Pro access comes back immediately — there is no account and no password, because Apple holds the receipt, not us.

If it does not restore, check that the Apple ID in iOS Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases is the one you subscribed with. Family Sharing subscriptions restore on the sharing member's own Apple ID.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled with Apple, not with us. On your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Iman AI → Cancel Subscription.

Cancel any time before the trial ends and you pay nothing. We also send a reminder notification on day five, two days before the first charge, so the bill is never a surprise. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

The Arabic of the Quran in this app is the Uthmani text from Tanzil, fetched from a verified source and shipped with the app. It is never generated by a model and never hand-edited. Translations are Sahih International in English and Muhammad Hamidullah in French, both established published translations.

Hadith are quoted with their collection, number and grading. The 60 answers in the Explore library were written and then checked against the real verse text; anything that did not match was removed rather than corrected.

No, and it will tell you so. Iman AI presents what the Quran and authenticated Sunnah say, names where the schools differ, and points you to a qualified scholar for anything that turns on your own circumstances — divorce, inheritance, money, medical questions.

There is nothing to delete on our side. There is no account, no profile, and no server-side record of you. Your name, dhikr counts, streaks, saved verses, settings and location all live in the app's own storage on your phone.

Deleting the app removes all of it. To clear it while keeping the app, use Profile → Reset app data. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is stored and where.
